About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Redchair Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and participate in cash collections, adhering to and enhancing controls to ensure timely payment of customer invoices.
* Regular review of debtors and follow up actions to prevent delinquencies.
* Issue invoices/statements to customers monthly, as well as provide copies upon request.
* Liaise with customers to manage their accounts, resolve payment queries, and address any concerns.
* Collaborate with the sales department to resolve issues related to POs and PODs.
* Engage with other branches to resolve account-related issues when goods are purchased nationwide.
* Ensure stuck dockets are cleared regularly with the Branch Manager.
* Process new accounts, ensure timely credit escalation, and receive and process customer payments.
* Accurately manage petty cash for all three Cork branches, prepare bank lodgements, and count daily floats.
Requirements:
* Finance-based qualification, such as an accounting or finance degree.
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Credit Controller, managing a large customer base.
* Proven ability to delegate tasks effectively to team members.
* Strong organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple demands and prioritize tasks accordingly.
About the Opportunity
This is an initial maternity leave position with potential for extension. We offer a competitive salary ranging from €32,000 to €35,000 per annum.
