* Our client are seeking an experienced civil engineering professional to support their estimating and proposals teams. This role is central to developing design-and-build tenders, working closely with designers, estimators, and supply chain partners. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise, assess risks and opportunities, and produce clear, high-quality bid submissions for clients.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the civil engineering aspects of design-and-build tenders, coordinating with external consultants to deliver high-quality submissions.
* Produce strong technical content for bid responses, ensuring clarity and alignment with client requirements.
* Review tender documentation to identify risks and highlight areas where competitive advantages can be achieved.
* Work with estimators, delivery teams, and suppliers to explore options and propose cost-effective, buildable solutions.
* Ensure smooth coordination between civil and MEICA components, addressing pricing interfaces and design impacts.
* Provide civil engineering guidance to MEICA designers, highlighting commercial impacts of design choices.
* Prepare and optimise draft construction programmes that align with client requirements and minimise indirect costs.
* Support estimators in planning resources, including workforce allocation, productivity outputs, and programme delivery needs.
* Contribute to the development of traffic management strategies and associated narratives for tender documents.
* Promote continuous improvement within the pre-construction and tendering process.
* Keep up to date with new methods, industry innovations, and CPD opportunities to maintain technical excellence.
* Remain informed about HSQE management systems and ensure alignment with company standard
Key Skills Required
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
* Strong background in site-based roles, with a solid understanding of construction practices.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in senior site management, ideally on complex civil engineering projects.
* Excellent technical writing and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for a wide audience.
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
* Full clean driving licence (Irish/UK/EU).
* Eligible to work in Ireland (valid Work Permit or Stamp 4 visa if required).
