A specialist engineering business operating in highly regulated, performance critical sectors is seeking a Product Assurance Engineer to support the delivery of complex electronic systems. These products are deployed in environments where failure is not an option, requiring rigorous quality, compliance, and traceability standards throughout the lifecycle.The RoleThis position focuses on ensuring robust assurance practices are embedded from early design through to final delivery. You’ll act as a key link between engineering, production, suppliers, and customers, making sure products meet strict technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements.ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain assurance frameworks aligned to recognised industry standards and project-specific requirementsInput into design and development activities to ensure compliance, reliability, and safety considerations are built in from the outsetLead assurance checkpoints across the project lifecycle, ensuring actions are tracked and closed outOversee production quality, confirming processes are followed and outputs meet defined standardsHandle product issues and deviations, driving investigations and implementing corrective measuresApprove technical and quality documentation prior to releaseSupport supplier oversight activities, including performance reviews and auditsContribute to audit readiness and participate in both internal and external assessmentsConduct inspections and document findings to support product acceptanceEnsure robust configuration management and end-to-end traceabilityAct as a key contact for assurance-related queries with customers and external stakeholdersIdentify and implement improvements to strengthen quality and assurance processesCandidate ProfileBackground in engineering or a related technical disciplineExperience in a quality, assurance, or reliability-focused role within a highly regulated or high-performance environmentFamiliarity with structured standards frameworks (e.g. ISO, aerospace, or equivalent)Understanding of electronic systems manufacturing and verification processesProven experience managing non-conformances and applying problem-solving methodologiesAble to interpret technical specifications and engineering documentationStrong attention to detail and a structured, process-driven mindsetConfident communicator, comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
