Reporting to the Strategic Account Director with a focus on a large strategic client
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the risk assessment program and identify how risks can be reduced;
2. Develop safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards;
3. Provide leadership to the management of Health & Safety on site;
4. Carry out regular site inspections to check that policies and procedures are being properly implemented;
5. Track internal audits and direct follow-up activities to correct any non-conformity;
6. Lead in the preparation of health and safety strategies and develop internal policies;
7. Advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, and compliance;
8. Develop and manage the site Safety Management System and ensure it is maintained in a constant state of audit readiness;
9. Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks;
10. Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements;
11. Record and support the investigation of incidents and accidents, producing statistics for managers;
12. Oversee the Permit to Work system and issue permits;
13. Attend IOSH and other seminars;
14. Produce management reports, safety briefings, and KPIs.

* SafePass
* PSDP / PSCS knowledge
* Office Ergonomics / VDU Assessor
* "Train the Trainer" qualification
* Internal Auditor certification
* Chartered Membership of IOSH (or actively working towards) – minimum level 6
