HR Leadership Opportunity
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead and develop our people strategy. This is a unique opportunity for a senior HR professional to drive employee performance, support leadership capability, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and succession planning.
2. Champion the development of a high-performance culture across the site, promoting clear expectations, strong values, and a focus on results.
3. Partner with leadership teams to ensure HR strategy is aligned with business objectives.
4. Provide expert advice on HR policies, employment law, and best practice.
5. Build strong relationships across the site to support a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
6. Manage union or employee representative engagement, where applicable.
7. Lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and wellbeing.
8. Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with all relevant employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
9. Continuously seek opportunities to improve HR systems, processes, and reporting.
Requirements:
This role requires a proven HR manager with experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment. A strong track record of shaping and embedding high-performance behaviours and practices is essential. The ideal candidate will also have in-depth knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, as well as experience working in a unionised setting. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels are also required. CIPD qualified (or equivalent experience) is preferred.
