We are hiring a Radiographer in our Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Responsibilities Perform a wide range of radiographic imaging examinations including General Radiography, DEXA, Theatre, Interventional/Fluoroscopy Radiology, and where applicable CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Cath Lab, and PACS/RIS, ensuring high standards of patient care.
Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based imaging services and take full professional responsibility for all aspects of own clinical practice.
Contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department, demonstrating flexibility in shift patterns, departmental rotas, and participation in on-call services.
Perform intravenous cannulation as required and maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies, data protection, and confidentiality standards.
Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues, GPs, consultants, and support staff to ensure coordinated and patient-centred care.
Adhere to Health Safety, Infection Control, radiation protection legislation, and professional codes of practice, ensuring safe working practices and patient advocacy in radiation safety.
Apply local and national Radiation Protection Rules, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory instruments, HIQA, EPA, JCI standards, and the principles of justification, optimisation (ALARA), and dose limitation.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, KPI monitoring, equipment fault reporting, and the maintenance of departmental quality assurance programmes.
Support hospital accreditation standards including JCI, HIQA, EPA, and International Patient Safety Goals (IPSGs), ensuring departmental compliance at all times.
Maintain ongoing professional development through education, training, supervision of students and staff, participation in mandatory training, and keeping up to date with advancements in imaging technology, policies, and best practice.
Requirements BSc (Hons) in Radiography, Diploma of the College of Radiographers, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Current CORU registration, with commitment to maintaining registration.
Minimum of three years' post-graduate experience in a diagnostic imaging setting.
Diagnostic MRI and/or General Ultrasound experience is desirable.
Post-graduate qualification in MRI and/or General Ultrasound is desirable.
Demonstrates proactivity, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
