Part time Evening - Language School Reception (Tuesday & Thursday 17:00-20:30)
We are currently hiring an administrative assistant / receptionist for our city centre language school. This job will be suitable for a candidate who loves meeting and working with people from all over the world and has an interest in language and culture. While the job is primarily focused on processing course and accommodation bookings, strong interpersonal skills are essential as this is a customer-facing role. An ideal candidate will enjoy helping students with varying levels of English and assisting them with all of the challenges of moving to and adapting to a new country. You will be working as part of a small team, so it is important that you are a team player.
Key tasks:
* Dealing with phone, email and face-to-face booking inquiries
* Entering bookings and enquiries on a digital database
* Liaising with accommodation providers
* Reporting to GNIB and immigration services in relation to non-EEA students
* Writing up, checking and cross checking information related to bookings made
* Creating documents related to bookings, accommodation and visa applications
* Working with Google products: Drive, Gmail, Sheets etc.
* Accepting, processing and recording payments
* Various ad hoc tasks
Work experience:
* Experience of taking and managing bookings is essential. Ideally experience in a language school, but related industries (hotels, hostels, etc) will also be considered.
* Experience is front facing receptionist role will be of advantage
* Experience of the Irish work-study visa process will be a major advantage
Education and skills:
* Qualification and training in business administration
* An ability to communicate in a second foreign language (an advantage, but not essential)
* Very high level of English fluency (C1+)
* TEFL qualification or language teaching experience is a bonus (an advantage, but not essential)
* High level of meticulous organisation
* Digital literacy
* Experience using a booking CMS

Pay: From €14.50 per hour
