Electrical Design Engineer Position
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects in sectors including healthcare, education, commercial offices, and transport infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical services design and a genuine interest in delivering sustainable and high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and specification of electrical systems to current regulations and design standards
* Collaborate with clients, project engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to define project requirements and technical solutions
* Develop and agree on design processes and deliverables
* Lead pre-construction activities including services coordination, technical submittals, and subcontractor engagement
* Provide technical support to estimating, procurement, commercial, and on-site project teams
* Assist in construction phase support and site-based coordination as required
Requirements:
• Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a consultancy environment
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical engineering and building services design
• Experience with current design guides, Irish Building Regulations, EN and IEC standards
• Proficiency in design software including Dialux and Amtech
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively within multifunctional teams
