We are seeking an
Electrical Engineer
with 2–5 years of experience to join our biotechnology client in Limerick. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, specification, and commissioning of new and upgraded electrical systems, while also providing engineering support and troubleshooting for existing equipment and manufacturing processes. This role will work closely with the electrical maintenance team to ensure the reliability and availability of electrical distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain LV systems (e.g., lighting, general services, UPS, protection settings including arc flash) and ELV systems (e.g., fire alarm, data points, building automation).
* Manage small-scale electrical infrastructure projects.
* Support design reviews, site acceptance testing, and installation of electrical equipment.
* Prepare and maintain electrical drawings and related documentation.
* Design and specify cGMP-compliant E&I equipment and process controls.
* Manage electrical systems integrated with business IT networks.
* Support validation activities by preparing design documentation and assisting with protocol execution.
* Investigate equipment and control system issues, including power quality events.
* Prepare engineering evaluations and execute change control documentation.
* Supervise electrical contractors and ensure compliance with required standards.
* Develop risk assessments, method statements, and ensure site Health & Safety compliance.
* Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies, and regulations.
* Uphold company reputation by ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, standards, and policies.
Requirements
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* 2–5 years of relevant industry experience.
