Overview
Social Care Worker - Residential Services, St Rita's, Claremorris, Co. Mayo. Contract 25.6 hours per week + Relief. Reference 2025-171A.
Job Brief
Successful applicant will be required to deliver on the vision for the people they are supporting. You will support the individual to gain valued social roles in their lives and participate in meaningful creative activities through developing appropriate supports. You will also advocate on behalf of the individual with regard to their needs and preferences and support the development of their Individual Plans.
Qualification Details
* Social Care Worker - a relevant 3rd level qualification in Social Care, or equivalent (minimum level 7)
* Qualification must be eligible for CORU registration
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in facilitating and supporting people with high and/or complex needs
* Genuine understanding and interest in working with people to effect positive opportunities and change in their lives
* Ability to listen, see, and respectfully advocate for the individual’s needs, preferences, rights, and dreams
* Excellent communication skills and teamwork with motivation to deliver high-quality facilitation with individuals, their families, and other disciplines
* Strong belief in people’s rights, inclusion, and equality
* Flexibility to respond to service demands as required
* Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations
* Good IT skills (preferred)
Other Requirements
* Full driver’s license is essential
* All applicants subject to Garda Vetting and references
* Applicants from non-EU countries must provide work authorization to take up employment in the Republic of Ireland
* Overseas Police Clearance may be required if lived outside the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland for more than 6 months since age 18
Salary Scale
Social Care Worker Pay Scale (Scale Range €34,969 - €52,619 per annum). Based on full-time hours (39 hours per week).
