Position Summary: The Disposable Container (DC) Design Engineering Intern will be mainly responsible for supporting the DC Design team with current active CSR-DC designs and customer needs, drawing breakdown structure, developing and maintaining Agitator and Panel Design standards, as well as ongoing expansion and equipment projects.
This intern will be involved with supporting the engineering, design, and manufacturing of DC's and improvements to existing designs and future state products.
This can include redlining potential design/manufacturing changes, implementation of design changes, and investigating the feasibility and savings pertaining to said design or manufacturing process improvements.
Responsibilities: · Work closely with DC design and manufacturing teams to support alignment of DC designs and manufacturing procedures.
· Make design changes (system redlining) to DC design drawings for use in manufacturing.
· Work in a professional team-based office environment.
· Problem solve issues with attention to detail.
· Ability to communicate effectively across international time zones and coordinate tasks appropriately.
· Will play an active role in identifying and driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
· Execute other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: · Mechanical/Chemical Engineering student or equivalent STEM major · Experience in AutoCAD, Inventor, or design software · Expertise in using Microsoft Teams / equivalent for meeting arrangements · Familiarity with polymers/plastics · Basic understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics,
