About The CompanyClandillon Civil Consulting (CCC) is an Irish civil engineering consultancy that, through its work with many of Ireland's biggest civil engineering contractors, has been involved in some of Ireland's largest infrastructure projects including the N17N18 Gort to Tuam Motorway, Luas Cross City, N4 Collooney to Castlebaldwin, N8 Dunkettle Interchange and most recently, the Bus Connects – Liffey Valley to City Centre scheme.Due to growth within the team, CCC is now looking to recruit a Junior Environmental Engineer/Scientist who will be based in either our Naas or Cork office. The successful candidate will work on various transport, travel and water-based projects. Supervision will be provided to perform tasks including the assessment of environmental constraints and impacts and in the production of associated reports.Junior Environmental Engineer/Scientist – The RoleCarry out environmental desk-top assessments.Carry out site walkovers to determine environmental constraints.Develop screening reports under the supervision of senior staff.Provide input into Environmental Impact Assessment Reports and Strategic Environmental Assessments.Carry out sampling and monitoring of sensitive sites.Develop Construction Environmental Operating Plans.Undertake consultations with statutory bodies.Supervise construction works in environmentally sensitive areas.Engage with team of engineers and other environmental specialists; andAny other duties, as deemed necessary, that fall within the remit and level of the position.What You Need – The Skills And CompetenciesMaster's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent.Positive attitude and willingness to learn.Passionate about environmental science and engineering and the projects you take on.Current and continuing right to work in the Republic of Ireland.Willing to actively participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD).Previous professional experience is beneficial, but graduate applications welcome.What You GetA competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate, providing plenty of opportunities to learn and develop both personally and professionally through access to in-house and external training, knowledge-sharing and mentorship.
