The Role
The Senior Community Facilitator has a pivotal role as direct staff supporting an individual with an Intellectual Disability and Autism. The successful candidate will support and empower the individual with all aspects of their daily living in line with their Personal Outcome Measures. Flexibility and willingness to positively deliver the necessary supports, including Positive Behaviour Support plans, are required.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
At least a QQI Level 7 qualification relevant to the Social Care sector (Therapy Assistant, Community Development, Creative Digital Media, Creative Arts, Arts and Design such as Pottery, Ceramics, Craft Textiles).
At least 2‑3 years experience designing and implementing programmes for persons with intellectual disability (training provided).
Full clean manual driving licence, able to drive manual vehicles on Irish roads; possession of a Class D1 driving licence is desirable and assistance may be provided.
Proficient in IT skills – use of computers, modern technology, online systems and assistive technology.
Fluency in verbal and written English.
Good teamwork skills, creativity, positivity and enthusiasm.
Working Hours
1 x Permanent Part‑time 70 hours a fortnight – rostered Monday to Friday. Contracted hours may vary between 8 am and 8 pm to meet programme needs. Employees may be required to transfer to other work locations as service demands change. The Corlann model requires flexible working hours to provide quality service delivery for each supported person.
Annual Leave
22 days per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time), i.e. 8.46 hours per 100 hours worked.
Remuneration
€41,021 x 8 increments – €51,799 (Max) per annum pro‑rata (Department of Health Senior Instructor/Supervisor Grade as at 01/08/2025). LSI 1 €53,476 per annum pro‑rata after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. LSI 2 €55,252 per annum pro‑rata after a further 3 years. Incremental credit is granted subject to satisfactory verification of previous public sector service.

Work with a panel that may be formed for future Senior Community Facilitator appointments within the Rindoon Services over the next 6 months.
