Quantity Surveyor Role
This is a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to join our organization.
About the Job
The primary focus of this role will be to participate in the procurement of specialist trades for projects, making appointment recommendations to the project director. Additionally, you will assist or lead in the drafting of subcontract agreements, receive, assess, and settle subcontract interim valuations and final accounts. You will also review developing design information and advise the wider project team on cost implications in a timely manner. Furthermore, you will identify and advise the wider project team on value engineering opportunities, complete monthly valuations for submission to the Employer's Representative, and agree said valuations.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Participate in the procurement of specialist trades for projects and make appointment recommendations to the project director.
* Assist or lead in the drafting of subcontract agreements.
* Receive, assess, and settle subcontract interim valuations and final accounts.
* Review developing design information and advise the wider project team on cost implications.
* Identify and advise the wider project team on value engineering opportunities.
* Complete monthly valuations for submission to the Employer's Representative and agree said valuations.
Requirements
* A Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying.
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Good written and oral communication skills with an emphasis on providing accurate reports.
* A proven track record in dealing with Subcontractors and Clients.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* A reasonable knowledge of current forms of agreement for the industry.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Bluebeam, CostX, and Cubit.
* Able to work well under pressure, independently, and as part of a team.
* Career driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic with aspirations for promotion to Senior Surveyor or Managing Surveyor.
