They are looking to recruit a Senior Environmental Scientist for its Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow office.
They are keen to grow our existing team in Kilcoole with individuals who want to work in a dynamic and professional working environment, and who are committed to helping develop the growth of the business within both new and existing technical disciplines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Project manage the delivery of environmental auditing and environmental due diligence projects.
2. Undertake business development activities and prepare tender documents.
3. Ensure that new and existing business is maintained through client liaison.
4. Attend monthly project and workload review meetings.
5. Conducting fieldwork e.g. site visits, environmental sampling and site investigations involving sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, air quality, noise, etc.
6. Interpreting fieldwork data i.e. statistical analysis and comparison with relevant guidelines and legislative standards.
7. Preparing technical reports for companies, environmental agencies and government bodies.
8. Assisting in preparing project proposals and quotations.
9. Liaising with clients, landowners and statutory consultees.
10. Managing project budgets.
11. Organising and managing sub-consultants, sub-contractors and third-party contributors to projects.
12. Contributing to other projects or duties as may be required.
Education, Experience and Memberships:
13. Relevant Science or Engineering degree.
14. Membership/Chartered Status with a relevant professional body/institute.
15. At least four years relevant experience in Environmental Consultancy.
16. Have a good working knowledge and experience of implementing relevant EU and Irish legislation relating to environmental compliance and management of contaminated land.
17. Ambitious and a drive to succeed.
18. Strong organisational skills.
19. Be a strong team player, but it is essential that the candidate is self-motivated.
20. Must be flexible to travel when required.
21. Excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage with people at all levels
