Our technology platforms power EV charging operations, customer billing, payments, roaming, and internal business processes across a fast-growing charging network.As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and versatile Software Engineer to help build, enhance, and maintain the software systems that underpin our operational, commercial, and customer-facing capabilities.Role SummaryThis role is ideal for a hands-on Software Engineer who enjoys working across modern cloud-based systems, APIs, integrations, and internal tools. You will contribute to the development of internal applications, automation services, billing and payments workflows, and data-driven operational systems that support our EV charging network. You will work closely with product, systems analysts, data teams, and external vendors to design and deliver robust, scalable, and reliable software solutions. The role offers a blend of backend development, API integration, automation, and platform engineering within a dynamic e-mobility environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development & Platform Engineering: Design, build, and maintain internal software tools, microservices, and automation services.Backend Systems: Develop and enhance backend systems supporting billing, payments, customer operations, and charger lifecycle workflows.Integrations: Implement and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party components; contribute to the evolution of internal operational platforms and data pipelines.API & Integration DevelopmentBuild and maintain API-based integrations using modern frameworks and cloud services.Ensure reliable data flows between chargers, payments systems, customer platforms, and internal tools.Support event-driven architectures and asynchronous processing for operational workflows.Troubleshoot integration issues and contribute to improving system reliability and observability.Act as a key technical interface with CPMS, payments, and SaaS vendors, supporting issue resolution, roadmap alignment, and change management activities.Evaluate and implement enhancements to CPMS functionality, integrations, and operational tooling.Support migrations of chargers and customers from acquired businesses into the core platform.Automation & Internal ToolingDevelop automation scripts, services, and internal applications to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.Collaborate with systems analysts to translate business processes into scalable technical solutions.Support low-code automation initiatives by providing APIs and data services.Quality, Testing & ReliabilityContribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality practices.Support QA activities across internal and third-party platforms, including validation of billing, payments, and data workflows.Document system behaviour, integration patterns, and technical processes.Collaboration & Cross-Functional WorkWork closely with systems analysts, data engineers, product managers, and operational teams.Participate in technical design discussions, architecture reviews, and problem solving sessions.Engage with external vendors to support integration, troubleshooting, and alignment with roadmaps.Requirements5+ years’ experience in software engineering or backend development.Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar modern languages.Experience building and maintaining API-driven systems, integrations, or microservices.Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and modern development tooling.Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and data processing workflows.Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.Desirable (but not mandatory)Experience with payments, billing systems, or transaction-processing platforms.Exposure to CPMS, IoT platforms, or e-mobility systems.Familiarity with event-driven architectures (queues, pub/sub, serverless functions).Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, or DevOps practices.Understanding of data engineering concepts or BI integrations.Interest in sustainability, EV technology, or energy systems.What We OfferOpportunity to work on impactful technology in a rapidly growing sector.
