Specific Purpose Whole Time Post anticipated duration (12) months Position Summary The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) is now seeking two dynamic Senior Research Coordinators in the areas of (i) Evidence for Public Policy Officer and (ii) Education & Public Engagement Officer to deliver on the ambitions of the ERICA (The External Voice in Defining an Engaged and Inclusive Institutional Research Culture: Engaged & Inclusive Research Culture Alliance) project.
They will form an essential part of the Implementation Team, working to realise the deliverables of the ERICA project.
In parallel, they will have responsibility for managing and ensuring full implementation of the Wellcome Trusts' policies and procedures, and to engage effectively with key stakeholders and funders.
The Senior Research Coordinators are key positions within the ERICA project, ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the project, managing and ensuring full execution of the deliverables associated with the ERICA project, engaging effectively with key stakeholders and funders and ensuring alignment with the strategic priorities of the institution.
Working closely with the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) and ERICA leadership, the post holders will contribute operational expertise, support the development and implementation of strategies, policies, practices, projects, delivery of KPIs, reporting and the development of funding proposals, as required.
The Senior Research Coordinators will be expected to contribute to the development and implementation of the ERICA strategy within the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI's) broader Engaged Research/Research Culture strategy.
The Senior Research Coordinators will also play a key role in the implementation of ERICA's reporting schedule in line with its research programme, ensuring that the scope and timelines of all research projects are on schedule, and that ERICA complies fully with mandatory reporting requirements.
The Senior Research Coordinators will manage the relationship with the broader OVPRI Engaged Research/Research Culture ecosystem.
They may also be tasked with supporting aligned and integrated aspects of the OVPRI's Engaged Research/Research Culture work, when relevant; appointees will be expected to have a flexible approach in this regard.
The ideal candidates will be proactive, enthusiastic, innovative, very organised, collegiate, solution and outcome focused and capable of managing a heavy and diverse workload.
They should be able to work under pressure and be able to effectively manage many competing time-dependant demands simultaneously.
