Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Relations & Showroom Host to join our team at the new Showroom in Galway. In this dynamic role, you will guide customers through their full journey — from initial enquiry to final handover.
Your responsibilities will include meeting and greeting both new and returning customers, managing online leads, handling inbound and outbound calls, scheduling appointments and test drives, recommending suitable vehicles based on customer needs, assisting with finance applications, and appraising trade-ins. You will also support walk-in customers, follow up on enquiries, and ensure every customer enjoys a smooth, professional and positive experience from start to finish.
The ideal candidate is confident, organised, proactive, and comfortable working with CRM/DMS systems, customer communication, vehicle guidance, and a busy showroom environment. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer journey while representing the AutoXpress brand with enthusiasm, care, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome, engage, and support both new and returning customers in a friendly and professional manner.
* Understand each customer's individual needs and guide them through suitable vehicle options.
* Present and explain vehicle features, benefits, and specifications in a clear, non-pressured way.
* Assist customers with booking test drives, arranging appointments, and exploring their preferred vehicles.
* Provide information on finance options, trade-in possibilities, and vehicle suitability based on their needs.
* Maintain a warm, positive showroom atmosphere and ensure every visitor feels supported.
Customer Journey Management (From Lead to Handover)
* Handle incoming leads from online platforms, phone calls, and walk-ins.
* Proactively follow up with customers using calls, emails, and CRM tools.
* Support customers through finance applications, documentation, and preparation for handover.
* Appraise trade-ins and gather all necessary details for accurate valuation.
* Ensure a smooth, enjoyable, and well-organised journey from enquiry right through to vehicle handover.
Communication & Relationship Building
* Build genuine rapport with customers to understand their preferences and expectations.
* Provide clear updates, answer questions, and guide customers throughout the process.
* Conduct follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain long-lasting relationships.
* Represent the brand with enthusiasm, professionalism, and integrity.
Administration, Organisation & Team Collaboration
* Manage customer information using CRM/DMS systems accurately and efficiently.
* Coordinate closely with the finance, admin, and management teams to ensure seamless customer flow.
* Stay informed on vehicle stock, pricing, and current promotions.
* Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and showroom initiatives.
* Help maintain showroom presentation and prepare vehicles for customer appointments.
Qualifications
* Experience in a customer-facing role (automotive experience beneficial but not essential).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask and manage a customer journey from start to finish.
* Comfortable engaging with leads, phone calls, online enquiries, and CRM systems.
* Motivated, organised, and confident in a fast-moving environment.
* A passion for cars and helping customers find the right solutions.
* Valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
* Basic computer skills (CRM experience is an advantage).
Preferred Skills
* Previous experience guiding customers through a buying or service process.
* Understanding of automotive finance options (training provided).
* Experience in customer relationship roles, hospitality, or retail.
