We are currently recruiting for a Management/Systems Accountant to join our team.
The Management/Systems Accountant is a key role in the Finance Department. This role combines weekly & monthly management/financial reporting and cost control across the site with a continuous improvement mindset to deliver enhanced finance system solutions to the business.
Responsibilities:
* Involved in weekly accounts preparation/reporting with responsibility for specific cost/revenue centres - insight into importance of weekly accounts in controlling & driving the performance of a business.
* Management Accounting reporting; interaction with Operations on product yields, stock control/valuations & labour costs etc
* Financial Accounting; monthly accounts preparation & balance sheet reconciliations
* Financial modelling- Budgeting/Rolling forecasts – 52-week Budget/Rolling Forecast model. Insight into the interaction of the Budget/Rolling Forecast model with Weekly/Monthly Reporting
* ERP system development across the various Finance modules including systems implementation and testing
* Development (& testing) of Management/Financial Reports utilising Business Intelligence reporting software
* Enhanced cost management by fully utilising ERP functionality & BOM details
* Manage and coordinate project meetings, record/maintain meeting minutes and develop weekly status reports, dashboards and other communications i.e., project issue, risk and decision logs
* Ad hoc Financial Project work
Personal Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA or ACCA) with a minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in either a large Accountancy Practice or multinational environment.
* A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in process and system enhancement
* Ability to work under pressure
* A self-starter willing to take on responsibility
* Ability to organise with strong attention to detail
* Very strong focus on accuracy and quality of information provided; attention to detail
* A team player with the ability to multitask and interact with a variety of departments, particularly Operational Departments
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office, advanced level Excel skills.
* Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to motivate and lead
* Excellent Project Management skills to ensure the successful implementation of projects on time and under Budget
