Job Purpose The Senior Logistics Technologist plays a key role in supporting TILGC's commitment to quality, compliance, and efficient manufacturing operations.
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role provides guidance and support to the warehouse team to ensure logistics activities are carried out accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities may vary depending on assignment across plants; however, the role requires the ability to work independently in a demanding, highly regulated environment.
Delivering manufacturing and logistics targets in compliance with quality, safety, and environmental requirements is a primary focus of the position.
How you will contribute : Operations Perform logistics duties as assigned across all areas of operations.
Ensure smooth inward and outward flow of materials, including: Goods receipt and samplingOffloading of tankersPreparation and staging of materials for productionHandling and storage of finished productsShipment of products off-site Execute logistics activities in accordance with TILGC quality standards, cGMP, GWP, SOPs, and HSE regulations.
Promote teamwork and effective two-way communication within logistics and across TILGC.
Complete allocated tasks efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation and timely escalation of deviations.
Operate and maintain forklifts, narrow aisle trucks, and other material handling equipment as required.
Maintain accurate inventory levels through: Right-first-time material receiptsTimely and accurate stock transactionsContinuous cycle countingMonthly inventory reporting Support solid and liquid waste handling processes in line with site procedures.
Support procurement activities by: Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortagesCreating purchase ordersManaging supplier relationshipsMaintaining internal purchasing systems Assist with improvements related to process flow, material handling, documentation, and inventory systems.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in all logistics areas.
Participate in continuous improvement, problem-solving, and change initiatives.
Complete all required logistics documentation accurately and on time.
Promptly report deviations, abnormalities, or observations to the Logistics Executive or designated responsible person.
