Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality anaesthetic care for elective and emergency surgeries, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management, and post-operative care.
* Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and anaesthesia technicians.
* Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergencies.
* Collaborate with surgical teams and other departments to optimise patient outcomes.
* Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Engage in professional development, research, and teaching opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
* Completion of Specialist Training in Anaesthesiology and possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of post-registration experience in Anaesthesiology.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care.
* Experience in regional anaesthesia, pain management, and intensive care is advantageous.
