Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer (Cloud, AWS)
An established and growing software company is building a new cloud-native SaaS product in AWS and is looking for a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to help define and scale its platform.
This is a hands‑on role within a small product engineering team, focused on building the DevOps/SRE foundations rather than operating an existing large‑scale system. There is no dedicated Ops/SRE team yet, so you will play a key role in shaping tooling, processes, and best practices.
The Role
* Design and evolve AWS infrastructure for a cloud SaaS platform
* Define and implement Infrastructure as Code, observability, and reliability standards
* Work closely with software engineers to improve deployment, monitoring, and security practices
* Help build a secure, scalable platform to support the launch of a new cybersecurity product
* Act as a driver of change in a small, collaborative engineering environment
Required Experience
* 3+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role
* Strong experience with AWS, containers, and Kubernetes
* Hands‑on experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi, or similar)
* Experience supporting Java‑based applications
* Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Datadog, Grafana)
* Solid understanding of secure software development practices
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Nice to Have
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Elasticsearch)
* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
* Knowledge of cloud security and security tooling
* Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR)
* Previous leadership or team‑enablement experience
