Senior Field Service Engineer – DundalkWe're looking for a skilledField Service Engineerto join our team, delivering, securing, and optimising enterprise-class infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms. This is a customer-facing role where you'll be hands-on with deployments, troubleshooting, and ensuring clients achieve resilience through proactive monitoring, disaster recovery planning, and modern security practices.The position is based in Dundalk with approx 50% of time spent onsite at customer locations, so a full clean driving licence is essential.Benefits:Private Healthcare + Pension + 25 days holidaysKey ResponsibilitiesYou will take ownership of the deployment, administration, and support of:Operating Systems & Infrastructure : Windows Server (2016–2022), Windows 10/11, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, RDS, Hyper-V & VMware.Cloud & Collaboration : Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune), Microsoft Azure & AWS (IaaS, PaaS, backup, DR, networking, identity).Security & Monitoring : Endpoint protection, EDR/ITDR, enterprise monitoring platforms ( Zabbix, PRTG, Nagios), VPNs & firewalls ( SonicWall, Draytek, Ubiquiti), patching & compliance.Networking & Hardware : LAN/WAN design, Wi-Fi infrastructure, servers, storage, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.Databases & Applications : SQL Server, Azure SQL, AWS RDS – installation, configuration, HA, backup, performance tuning.What You BringDegree or advanced qualification in IT, Networking, or related discipline.5+ years' experience in systems engineering, consultancy, or field service.Proven expertise with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, SQL Server, and enterprise networking.Hands-on knowledge of security solutions (EDR, ITDR) and observability platforms.Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, cloud, and security.Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.Organised, self-driven, and passionate about mentoring and continuous learning.
