Occupli is supporting a leading energy infrastructure client with the appointment of a Maintenance Engineer based at their Dublin Site.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and support planned preventative maintenance activities across terminal assets, coordinating reactive and non‑routine maintenance as required
* Carry out routine inspections to identify equipment degradation, plant fatigue, or emerging risks, responding effectively to breakdowns to minimise disruption
* Maintain accurate records within the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)
* Prepare, review, and update maintenance procedures, policies, and technical documentation
* Supervise third‑party contractors in accordance with site safety rules and permit‑to‑work requirements
* Review contractor risk assessments and method statements prior to work commencing
* Support the permit‑to‑work process, including hot works, confined space entry, and isolation procedures
* Assist with EHS inductions for contractors and promote a strong safety culture on site
* Contribute to operational risk assessments to ensure safe terminal activities
* Support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking
* Assist with capital and maintenance projects, including sourcing quotations and coordinating works
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency
Requirements
* Experience working within oil terminals, fuel storage, process plants, or regulated industrial environments
* Strong understanding of maintenance planning and execution in a high‑risk operational setting
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, operational environment
* Proven problem‑solving and decision‑making capability
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Effective communication skills with the ability to work across operations, contractors, and management
Qualifications & Technical Skills
* Third‑level qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Ability to read and interpret P&IDs
* Solid understanding of isolation and lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) systems
* Strong working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety requirements
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
* Comfortable working as part of a site‑based team and contributing to shared safety objectives
