Key Skills and Qualifications for this role:
1. Qualified Audiologist
2. Registered with the Irish Academy of Audiology (IAA) or be eligible to register
3. Hold a full driving licence
4. 1-year experience with adult testing/fitting and paediatric testing is desirable
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
1. Perform a wide range of
diagnostic assessments
in children and adults: otoscopy, pure tone audiometry, visual reinforcement testing, performance audiometry, TEOAE/DPOAE, tympanometry (including multi-frequency), speech audiometry, and speech-in-noise testing.
2. Select age-appropriate testing paradigms and reinforcement techniques.
3. Interpret test results; explain findings to clients/parents; agree management plans and set realistic expectations.
4. Provide
diagnostic support for onward medical management
and refer appropriately to ENT Consultants, Paediatricians, Psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists, and other professionals.
5. Maintain up-to-date procedure documentation; participate in departmental audit and research projects.
6. Perform
micro-suction
and wax removal (training provided if required) using video otoscopy to inspect ears.

two clinics: Kildare and Kilkenny
