The Role:Reporting to the Director of Operations and relevant governance committees, the SEMO General Manager will be responsible for:Providing strategic leadership across the business, ensuring delivery of regulatory, operational and commercial objectives;Overseeing the effective delivery of all core market functions including operations, settlements, stakeholder engagement and compliance activities;Leading governance, risk management and regulatory compliance activities across the organisation;Building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators, policymakers, market participants and industry stakeholders;Leading financial planning, resource management and capability development across the business;Driving innovation, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives;Other duties as outlined in the full job description The Person:The successful SEMO General Manager will meet the following criteria:Significant leadership experience within the utilities sector or a regulated industry;Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills;Strong strategic thinking, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities;Experience managing risk, compliance and operational performance;Demonstrated ability to lead organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
