Eir business talent are seeking applications for a Cybersecurity Engineer, this is a day rate contracted located in Dublin, the role is hybrid.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure security, or systems administration in a complex environment
Strong hands‑on experience with: Networking, firewalls, and network segmentation
Strong hands‑on experience with: EDR and SIEM platforms
Strong hands‑on experience with: Vulnerability management
Strong hands‑on experience with: Microsoft 365 and Azure security controls
Solid understanding of: Active Directory and IAM/PAM
Solid understanding of: Cloud security (Azure)
Solid understanding of: Zero Trust principles
Experience with security frameworks and compliance: ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2
Proven experience developing and maintaining: Cybersecurity policies, standards, and playbooks
Nice‑to‑Have Experience
Incident response coordination and investigation
Threat hunting, log analysis, or digital forensics support, regulatory engagement, or board‑level reporting
Experience mentoring or guiding junior analysts
Key Competencies
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to investigate alerts, assess risks, and recommend practical improvements
Clear communication skills – able to translate technical issues for non‑technical stakeholders
Experience working with internal teams, suppliers, and external stakeholders
