As regulatory expectations grow worldwide, they're looking for an experiencedPublic Policy Managerto help steer content-related compliance efforts with clarity, credibility, and calm under pressure.This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity—balancing legal obligations, human rights considerations, and product realities, while advising senior leaders and coordinating across large, fast-moving teams.What you'll doYou'll sit at the intersection of policy, regulation, and content governance, with two core focus areas:1. Regulatory Compliance & Policy ResponsesCoordinate cross-functional efforts to meet regulatory obligations related to online contentDraft and review responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) on content policies and compliance strategiesSupport audits, risk assessments, and regulatory transparency reportingTranslate complex policy positions into clear, defensible written submissions2. Escalations & On-Call Policy SupportAct as a key escalation point for regulatory and freedom-of-expression issuesCoordinate rapid responses during regulatory escalations or emerging crisesParticipate in an on-call rotation (within timezone), with occasional irregular hours or weekend workProvide pragmatic, risk-aware policy advice to leadership under time pressureAcross both areas, you'll build strong working relationships with teams spanning legal, compliance, public policy, human rights, communications, and trust & safety—bringing people together to land thoughtful, compliant decisions.What we're looking forMinimum requirements6+ years' experience in tech policy, law, integrity compliance, human rights, government, or risk management—ideally with a focus on platforms and technologyHands-on experience with internet or social media content issuesStrong familiarity with platform content policies and standardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilityExperience working cross-functionally and building consensus across diverse stakeholdersSolid understanding of large-scale digital products and the principles behind themNice to haveStakeholder management across complex organisationsExperience working in fast-paced, high-visibility policy environments
