About The IRC Huawei Ireland Research Centre (IRC) aims to position Huawei as a recognized technology leader and a global ICT solutions provider.
The IRC builds a multidisciplinary research team focusing on medium to long-term issues, working closely with Huawei customers and European universities to support Huawei's technical projects.
Responsibilities Manage the entire procurement process for category-based supplier selection, including bidding, negotiation, and price comparison strategies.
Lead and coach the procurement team to understand procurement's core value, cost-effective negotiation skills, and contractual risk management.
Negotiate prices with vendors to secure the best deals.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure procurement meets company needs.
Identify and qualify vendors suitable for the company's requirements.
Provide management reports, monitor key performance indicators, and track cost savings monthly.
Collaborate with the legal department to draft supplier contracts.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and communication.
Report on achievement targets, work plans, and potential risks regularly.
Handle invoice and payment inquiries, and monitor payment processes.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business management, or related fields; higher qualifications are a plus.
2-5 years of purchasing experience in telecommunications or a global company.
Proficiency in English; Mandarin is a plus.
Strong knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, and cost analysis.
Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong work ethic and drive for excellence.
Work from the Dublin office five days a week.
