Reporting to the Operations & Supply Chain Senior Manager, key responsibilities include:
* Leading some of the following areas and maintaining a high-profile presence in the area
* Moulding & Extrusion teams plus Warehouse Team
* Assembly Teams
Key expectations include driving own team and working with other teams to maximize performance. This involves working with stakeholders to resolve day-to-day problems, effect changes in procedures, and ramp up line speeds or throughput.
The role requires ensuring strict compliance with all procedures, regulatory, and GMP requirements, quality procedures including record keeping, inspection standards, product disposition, and validation protocols. This includes implementing corrective and preventative actions identified through the quality process.
In addition, the role involves managing team time and attendance, including absenteeism/overtime review, and occupational health follow-up. Maintaining a positive employee relations atmosphere is essential, including good communication and cooperation by encouraging knowledge sharing and open exchange of ideas within the Plant.
The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for training and development of employees on their shift. Ensuring all employees achieve their full potential and develop their skills to meet current and future needs of the Operations and Supply Chain Department is crucial. The role also involves managing the team effectively through coaching and counseling where appropriate, leading by example at all times
Moreover, the role promotes continuous improvement and manages change effectively. Ensuring financial performance is maintained at required levels with regard to material and labor efficiency is essential. Providing support as required for projects such as process development, optimization, and validation, material selection and qualification, equipment/mould procurement and introduction, management of capital projects from inception to completion, and EHS support and compliance within all areas of the department is also necessary.
EHS Responsibilities include fostering an awareness of Environmental Health & Safety in the plant and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Maintaining plant safety at the highest level with a zero accident target is critical. Ensuring strict compliance with plant environmental, health, and safety policies, including detailed and timely incident and accident reporting, thorough investigation and corrective action for all hazardous occurrences and accidents, and follow-up is essential.
