Group Financial Accountant Role
A key opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join a busy team as a Group Financial Accountant. This role is central to the preparation of consolidated financial reports and supporting strategic processes across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts and board reports.
* Compile annual statutory financial statements for group and subsidiary entities.
* Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and review divisional financial submissions.
* Produce cash flow forecasts, budgets, and capital expenditure reports.
* Manage VAT and Corporation Tax filings and liaise with external tax advisors.
* Maintain fixed asset registers across group entities.
* Liaise with internal and external audit teams.
* Support department heads with costings and monthly reporting.
* Contribute to policy development and process improvement initiatives.
* Assist with ad-hoc projects, automation, and finance transformation efforts.
Candidate Profile:
An ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience. They should possess a strong background in financial consolidation and statutory reporting, proficiency in financial systems (Oracle Essbase, SmartView an advantage), advanced Excel skills, and strong IT skills.
The successful candidate will be organised, adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure, and possess strong communication skills with an analytical mindset and commercial awareness.
