Restaurant Supervisor Job Description
Position Overview
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining quality and safety standards, supporting management in meeting business goals, and ensuring guests have an excellent dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support front-of-house and back-of-house staff during shifts.
* Ensure excellent customer service by monitoring guest satisfaction and addressing complaints promptly.
* Train, coach, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standards.
* Assist in scheduling, shift planning, and monitoring attendance.
* Enforce health, safety, and hygiene regulations in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
* Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or supply needs to management.
* Handle cash management, reconcile daily sales, and follow financial procedures.
* Collaborate with the restaurant manager to implement operational improvements.
* Ensure the restaurant maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a supervisory role within the food & beverage or hospitality industry preferred.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and basic financial procedures.
* Customer-oriented mindset with problem-solving abilities.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: €13.50-€15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
