The Role
My client, a leading international company, is seeking an experienced Returns Agent to join their team at Dublin Airport. This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role operating on a 5-out-of-7 day shift pattern. Weekend work and early/late shift is required. A full clean Category B driving licence is absolutely essential.
As the Returns Agent, you will deliver exceptional customer service at the final stage of the vehicle rental process. This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role requiring flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail.
Tasks & Duties
* Greet and assist customers during vehicle return, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
* Work collaboratively with team members to manage vehicle check-ins in a timely manner.
* Inspect vehicles for damage and report findings in line with company procedures.
* Communicate any new vehicle damage to the damages department.
* Coordinate with fleet supervisors to ensure vehicles meet company standards.
* Process workshop vehicles and flag those needing maintenance or servicing.
* Complete all administrative tasks accurately in accordance with operating procedures.
* Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
* Support other departments with ad hoc duties as required.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
* Full, clean B driving licence held for a minimum of 2 years (essential).
* Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions (essential).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for face-to-face customer interaction.
* Ability to work effectively within a team in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
* Flexibility to work a rotating shift schedule across 5 of 7 days, between 5am and 1am.
* Previous experience in car rental or vehicle sales is desirable, but not required (full training provided).
* Candidate must currently reside within a commutable distance with full working rights.
