You will coordinate and schedule production activities for each shift, ensuring weekly production targets are met while maintaining a safe, efficient and well‑communicated working environment.This position plays an essential part in the smooth running of the mine, requiring strong organisational awareness, clear communication, and the ability to make informed, real‑time decisions. As a leader who embodies Boliden Tara's values of Care, Courage and Responsibility, you will help drive operational excellence within one of Ireland's most established mining industries.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Activity scheduling in alignment with the weekly plan, supported by the short‑term scheduler.Prepare work orders for both mine department and contractor crews.Lead shift start‑up meetings with mine shift supervisors.Monitor and control production in real time, adapting plans as needed to maintain progress andCommunicate clearly and effectively across radio and digital systems in a fast-paced operational setting.Complete activity reporting and carry out data validation and analysis.Undertake special duties during mine emergencies as outlined in Mine Emergency Procedures.Skills and Capabilities:Minimum 3rd level education combined with relevant industry experience, or Graduate Engineer in mining or related discipline.Previous experience with production scheduling in heavy industry is an advantage.Strong analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills with a high learning capacity.Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to deliver clear verbal communication in dynamic, radio‑based environments.Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.Flexible approach to work, including shift work as part of a 24/7 roster.Strong interpersonal ability — capable of influencing, collaborating, and building relationships at all levels.Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement and new opportunities.Valid driver's licence.Additional Info:Staff position with shift work on a roster covering 24 hours a day, Monday to Sunday.Some international travel may be required as part of this role.We strive to achieve diversity and inclusion among our employees and therefore welcome all applicants.
