Job Opportunity: Design Lead in Fire Protection Systems
Our Client is a leading international provider of fire protection systems, committed to engineering excellence and delivering high-quality solutions that meet all industry standards.
The Design Lead will play a pivotal role in enhancing our design activities, working closely with the Design team to drive innovation and success. This key position involves leading, managing, coaching, mentoring, training, and supporting a team of Design Engineers to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of Design Engineers to achieve exceptional results.
* Oversee multiple design projects, ensuring timely completion, quality, and efficiency.
* Resolve coordination and design challenges effectively, fostering collaboration among team members.
* Develop and implement drawing standards and specifications to maintain consistency and accuracy.
* Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and accreditation processes.
* Develop and update Design Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), manuals, and procedures to ensure best practices.
* Track, monitor, and update project progress in management systems, identifying areas for improvement.
* Implement standard design tools to enhance project execution efficiencies and streamline workflows.
* Recruit, onboard, manage performance, and develop team members, promoting growth and professional development.
* Promote a positive Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) culture and safe work environment.
Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering or related field.
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in fire sprinkler design.
* Proficiency in using Revit, AutoCAD/SolidWorks, and other relevant software.
* Demonstrated skills in Project Management, including time management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* LPCB - Basic, Intermediate, and FHC Exams are desirable but not essential.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
* Flexible, adaptable, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven record of building and sustaining effective and professional working relationships.
* Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills.
