My client, an Irish-owned manufacturing company, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial management, reporting, and control across their operations.
This role combines hands-on finance expertise with people leadership, providing commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in partnership with operations Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management Oversee cost accounting, product costing, margin analysis and inventory valuation Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements Optimise working capital, including inventory, receivables, and payables Liaise with banks and external stakeholders as required Coordinate audits and act as the main point of contact for external auditors Maintain strong financial controls and documented processes Manage, coach and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and strong controls Partner with production, supply chain, and operations to support financial decision-making Support senior leadership with ad-hoc analysis, business cases, and strategic projects Key Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Experience in a manufacturing finance role Proven people management experience Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing KPIs Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Experience in process improvement or lean manufacturing environments is desirable
