We are currently hiring for a Branch Manager for our Letterkenny Post Office!
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for growing the business performance of their Branch Office – meeting all sales, cost and business targets while, at the same time, ensuring a high quality of service to all customers and leading a motivated, engaged and high performing team.
Responsibilities
Ensure sales and business performance targets for the office are consistently achieved while applying corporate standards.
Develop and motivate staff through sales coaching and product education to achieve sales and business performance targets.
Ensure the required levels of productivity and performance standards are achieved and sustained to ensure a customer focused office.
Analyse business performance in the office and identify action plans for growing revenue.
Efficiently implement all new products, business initiatives and strategies within the office.
Ensure the office is merchandised correctly on an ongoing basis and that team are aware of the promotional calendar and events.
Ensure the provision of excellent customer service and promote An Post's commercial interests with customers and commercial organisations operating in the catchment area of the office.
Ensure compliance with Corporate, Internal Audit and regulatory requirements, including those relating to Health and Safety, Security, Office Accounts and Payroll.
Proactively monitor and optimise cash balances in the office and at counter positions.
Manage application of the Company’s Attendance and Support Management Process (ASMP) to maximise staff attendance levels.
Demonstrate An Post Values and behaviours in your day to day work and recognise / address behaviour that supports / conflicts with them.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have relevant business development experience, with a strong understanding of retail, banking, or similar customer-focused products and services. You will be commercially aware, results oriented, resilient with demonstrable problem solving skills and the ability to deal with customers in a discreet and professional manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire others to achieve stretching targets are required.
This is a full-time position with a 37.5-hour working week, from 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a lunch break from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Due to the nature of the business, there may occasionally be a requirement to work some Saturdays during peak periods.
