The main responsibility of this role is the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing and new automation. **A typical day to day, would include:*** Provide first response technical support to automated equipment.* Responsible for defining maintenance and troubleshooting procedures of new equipment introduced to site.* Assist Engineering in the installation and implementation of new equipment. Responsible for the provision of equipment training to the wider engineering team.* Daily reporting into Engineering on all activities and highlighting concerns early.* Responsible for investigating and documenting process issues and report to Engineering all findings and solutions.* Support safety risk assessments for any new equipment introduced.* Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon QS requirements.* Assigned work adheres to H&S and environmental requirements.* Order and maintain stocks of spares and components.* Carry out modifications and upgrades.**What you’ll bring to the role:*** A minimum Level 7 qualification in an Engineering or Technical discipline* Strong technical ability and automation experience would be preferred.* Ability to trouble-shoot equipment issues.* Ability to work on own initiative.* Good problem-solving skills* Knowledge of ISO, FDA, GMP standards.Alcon CareersSee your impact at**ATTENTION: Current Alcon Employee/Contingent Worker**If you are currently an active employee/contingent worker at Alcon, please click the appropriate link below to apply on the Internal Career site.
