Take your career farther than you thought possible.Associate Director, Master Project Scheduler (EMEA) is a critical position withing the Global Project Services organization.
The position has the responsibility for the effective management and oversight of integrated project schedule delivery in the EMEA region.Position SummaryResponsible for overseeing the scheduling function in the EMEA region and the development of integrated project schedules including reviewing, validating and baselining end user, AE, CM, GC and CQV schedules.
The right candidate must have proven capabilities in this area and be willing to drive impactful continuous improvement in the scheduling function.
The master schedular will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overall schedule for a project or multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource utilization through an end-to-end project delivery approach.Key ResponsibilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify critical paths, analyze complex data and make informed decisions.Develop and implement robust systems and processes for the planning and scheduling group that align with current industry best practices.Ability to analyse trends, provide accurate and timely reports, dashboards and visualizations that communicate project status, identify constraints and recommend mitigations.Detailed knowledge of total project delivery requirements from feasibility to validation, commissioning and start up processes.
Adoption of an integrated schedule approach.Point of contact for all technical discussions with external vendors regarding scheduling services.Develop and implement the appropriate Metrics and Key Performance Indicators required to effectively measure the performance of scheduling deliverables.Knowledge of innovative scheduling solutions such as generative scheduling using AI a distinct advantage.Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed team environment with other site and above site functions.
Ability to work independently to meet objectives when required.Attention to detail and ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy.
Regularly seeks opportunity to deliver Innovation and continuous improvement to meet changing business needs.Manage the Enterprise construction project scheduling software as the Global Business Owner.
Ability to communicate effectively to various management levels internally and externally.Extensive experience within the pharmaceutical industry and detailed knowledge of scheduling best practice.Drive the adoption of lean construction principles within the organization.Ensuring monte carlo simulations performed on the schedules are properly managed and reported.Active participant at scheduling workshops and interactive planning sessions.Develop a framework to support the early identification of schedule risks and appropriate mitigations, the early identification of schedule variances or trends and recommendation of corrective actions.Ensure integrated schedules follow the BMS Global Engineering Standards and Industry Best Practice while demonstrating a desire to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Train and mentor project team members on best practice for schedule management and adherence.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or equivalent related field.A Minimum 10 years' experience in the pharmaceutical or similar industry.Proven experience as a master scheduler or similar preferably in a client-based organization.Experience of managing schedule delivery over a wide portfolio of project across various sites, projects ranging from small investments to $400,000,000+ each.Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation communication skills to effectively collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong experience in the planning and execution of pharmaceutical projects.Ability to use discretion with sensitive/confidential information.Using Primavera P6 Professional Project Management (PPM), Microsoft Project, Generative Scheduling using AI, build, schedule, and track complex integrated project schedules, provide analysis and benchmarking.
Manage the schedule training of Project Managers and Project Engineers at various sites.
Excellent interpersonal/facilitation skills necessary to interface with and influence all levels of management.Approx 25% - 50% travel.Location is a BMS European site (location flexible).
Final location will affect travel percentage.
