Purchasing Assistant Opportunity
* Responsibilities:
* Place purchase orders for stock and spares, following up on order acknowledgments and delivery schedules with suppliers.
* Optimise stock levels to meet customer demand while minimising excess inventory.
* Regularly review stock classifications to adapt to changing customer requirements.
* Manage product phase-outs and introduce new items into the supply chain process.
* Set up new items and suppliers in SAP, ensuring meticulous maintenance and enrichment.
* Organise the transportation of goods and liaise with warehouse personnel to ensure accuracy in received goods.
* Address supplier issues promptly and work to minimise sales back orders.
* Keep relevant personnel informed about any product-related issues.
* Support the business with customer/supplier returns.
* Collaborate with other departments on special promotions, orders, and customer inquiries.
* Process invoices and handle related queries efficiently.
