Motoworld is looking for an experienced and motivated Lead mechanic to take ownership of our workshop and help deliver a top‑class service to our customers.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys leading from the front, solving problems and setting high standards in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the workshop, ensuring all jobs are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
* Diagnose, service and repair motorcycles, ATVs, quads, garden machinery and other powersports equipment (adjust to your product range).
* Allocate work, support junior mechanics and apprentices, and provide on‑the‑job training.
* Quality‑check all work before units are returned to customers.
* Communicate clearly with the front‑of‑house team on job status, timelines and any additional work required.
* Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop, including tools, equipment and parts areas.
* Contribute to improving processes, turnaround times and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
* 3–5+ years' experience as a mechanic/technician in motorcycles, ATVs, small engines or automotive (powersports experience a strong advantage).
* Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
* Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs from start to finish.
* Experience leading or mentoring other mechanics/technicians is highly desirable.
* High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
* Full driving licence (motorcycle licence an advantage, if relevant).
