We are partnering exclusively withArrotek Medicalto recruit an experiencedOperations Managerfor their growing Sligo site.The Role:This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for manufacturing engineering, supply chain and planning, production operations, facilities, and health & safety, working closely with Quality & Regulatory, Design Engineering, HR, Sales, and Finance to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Operations & Production ManagementLead daily manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and capacity managementDeliver production targets while maintaining high quality and regulatory complianceOptimise use of materials, equipment, and labour to improve efficiency and reduce wasteOwn departmental budgets, financial planning, and resource allocationQuality & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure full compliance with ISO 13485, FDA QSR, GMP, and international regulationsSupport internal and external audits, inspections, and regulatory activitiesEnsure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, validations, and quality systemsDrive CAPA investigations related to manufacturing and operational issuesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary operations teamFoster a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvementConduct performance reviews and identify training and development needsEnsure appropriate staffing levels and skills coverage across shiftsContinuous Improvement & Cost ControlImplement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiativesTrack and analyse KPIs such as yield, throughput, OEE, and cost per unitIdentify and deliver cost reduction, productivity, and process optimisation opportunitiesLead root cause analysis and process improvement projectsHealth, Safety & Risk ManagementEnsure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsPromote and embed a strong safety-first culture across operationsRequirements:A degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related disciplineMinimum 3 years' experience in a similar Operations / Manufacturing Management roleStrong knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes and regulatory requirementsProven people leadership and team management experienceA detail-oriented, quality-focused mindsetStrong analytical, data-driven decision-making skillsExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilityDemonstrated experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentFor a confidential discussion about the role and the organisation, please contact Emma Barry today.
