Compliance Analyst – Mincon Group
Location: Shannon, Ireland (Global scope)
Hybrid: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote after successfully completing probationary period.

Role Overview
The Compliance Analyst will build on the existing Compliance Framework of a large multinational, publicly listed Group, headquartered in Ireland.
Reporting directly to the CFO with twice yearly presentation of the Compliance Report to the Audit Committee.
The Compliance Analyst assists in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, policy requirements, and reporting development, and other obligations, working closely with the wider Group.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting internal control policy and procedure documents as necessary for the Group's Policy and Procedure Frameworks.
This includes both financial control and corporate governance policies.
Inform and ensure employee understanding of all internal control policies and compliance obligations.
Researching legal, financial and corporate governance regulations to ensure compliance within the Group.
Review of existing internal policy documents for gaps in procedures or legal requirements and update of same.
Conduct compliance monitoring and cyclical testing at local subsidiary level of the established controls and procedures outlined in the Group's internal financial policies to include areas such as Balance Sheet items, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Data protection and other identified.
Verification of supporting documentation for all assets and proof of existence.
Check processes for reporting, investigating, and resolving breaches or control failures.
Ensure timely reporting of compliance findings and corrective actions directly to local management of the Group subsidiary companies.
Support internal reporting to enhance risk management understanding.
Provide support for external reporting requirements on a bi-annual basis, ensuring compliance with financial and market legal obligations.
Key Requirements
Relevant experience in compliance, risk management or control functions within a medium or large organisation.
Experience delivering data-driven initiatives or projects.
Proven ability to work under tight regulatory or internal compliance timelines.
Sound knowledge of AML laws and regulations, with a broad understanding of key financial crime and reputational risks (e.g. PEPs, sanctions, anti-bribery and corruption).
Awareness of payment industry trends, innovations, emerging risks and regulatory drivers.
Background in legal, finance or audit functions considered advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
Experience working effectively within a matrixed, cross-functional organisation.
A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of various initiatives.
Culturally sensitive with the ability to navigate diverse international work environments.
Preferred Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications
Degree in a relevant discipline.
Professional Qualification in Accounting/Finance.
