Job Description - Electrician
A progressive nationwide M&E maintenance provider is seeking a qualified Electrician in Athlone or a 4th-year Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take on a new challenge and build hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and reporting, while working alongside experienced engineers.
Job Responsibilities of the Electrician / Electrical Apprentice
1. Assist with electrical installations across various sites
2. Support maintenance and repair tasks under supervision
3. Carry out fault-finding and basic diagnostics
4. Help complete system reports and documentation
5. Work on domestic electrical systems as needed
6. Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
7. Maintain tools and workspaces in good condition
8. Communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors
9. Travel to job sites as required
Job Requirements of the Electrician / Electrical Apprentice
10. Qualified electrician or currently a 4th-year apprentice
11. Experience in domestic installations preferred
12. Good IT skills, with the ability to complete reports on laptops/tablets
13. Willingness to travel and a full, clean driving licence
14. Interest in developing technical skills in the field
15. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
16. Good communication and teamwork skills
