The Opportunity
A leading professional services firm is seeking to appoint a commercially focused and strategically minded Director - Agri Tax Advisory to support the continued development of its national agri tax function.
This senior leadership role will work closely with Tax Partners and regional offices, ensuring advisory services are delivered consistently, efficiently, and to the highest technical standard. The successful candidate will play a central role in aligning national tax strategy with the evolving needs of agricultural and rural business clients.

The Role
As Director - Agri Tax Advisory, You Will
Commercial & Relationship Leadership
Act as the primary tax liaison across a nationwide network of offices
Oversee delivery of advisory retainers, ensuring service excellence and commercial effectiveness
Identify growth opportunities within the agri and rural business sector
Maintain strong insight into economic and commercial drivers impacting clients and regional teams
Leadership & Resource Management
Lead and develop a high-performing advisory team
Coordinate workflow across multiple offices to optimise efficiency and margin
Drive accountability, performance standards, and professional development
Support strategic planning and execution across the tax division
Technical Development
Champion excellence in agri taxation, succession planning, restructuring, and capital tax matters
Identify training needs and implement structured knowledge development initiatives
Contribute to internal technical briefings and external thought leadership
Support collaboration with professional bodies and sector stakeholders
Quality & Risk Oversight
Ensure advisory work meets firmwide technical and governance standards
Oversee review and sign-off processes across the agri advisory portfolio
Support partners in maintaining robust compliance and risk management frameworks
Experience & Technical Requirements
Minimum 5+ years' post-qualification experience in tax advisory
Significant exposure to agricultural, succession, capital taxes, and restructuring matters
Proven experience managing relationships across multiple offices or business units
Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience improving advisory performance
Excellent knowledge of Irish tax legislation relevant to agri and business structures
Qualifications
CTA (AITI Chartered Tax Adviser) essential
ACA / ACCA or legal qualification advantageous
