Job Overview

The Sales Advisor plays a pivotal role in driving sales of Personal Lines, Agri and Commercial Business.

This position involves assisting in the overall management of the Sales Office to deliver exceptional customer care service that meets agreed sales results while enhancing the local brand.

* Working closely with and reporting to the Branch Manager and Sales Development Co-Ordinator, you will be results-focused and your key responsibilities include:
1. Being proactive in achieving individual targets through prospecting, up-selling, and cross-selling of Personal Lines/Commercial/Agri products.
2. Dealing with customer queries and referring unresolved or technical queries to relevant personnel.
3. Ensuring all systems and procedures as laid down by the company are complied with.
4. Accruing and maintaining comprehensive up-to-date knowledge and information of the company's commercial product range and compliance requirements, and completing relevant industry qualifications and CPD hours as appropriate.
5. Working flexibly within the Sales Office and participating in various office tasks which may include visiting markets.
6. Providing relief to other Sales Offices in the region, as required.
7. Developing mutually beneficial working relationships and working closely with the local FBD Life and Pension Financial Advisor to continuously enhance the overall group service delivery to customers.
8. Participating in account management initiatives for Commercial and Agri business.
9. Taking responsibility for individual outstanding debit/premium collections.
10. Assisting customers at the initial notification of claims stage, in line with company procedures.
11. Providing dedicated support to the Sales Executive/Branch Manager, as directed.
12. Administration of Personal Lines/Commercial/Agri business as required.
13. Carrying out such duties as management may require from time to time.


Education and Qualifications

Leaving Certificate or equivalent, and/or a relevant third-level qualification. Qualified to Approved Product Advisor (APA), Approved Product Professional (APP), Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) or Grandfathered Accreditation is desired; however, assistance will be given to obtain this qualification within the timeframes outlined by the Central Bank of Ireland.


Experience and Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook. Previous insurance/financial services experience would be advantageous. Sales/customer service experience is also desirable.

A proactive, energetic approach and positive outlook are essential. Excellent communication and organisational skills are necessary for success in this role.

This role has been identified as holding a CF3, CF4 designation under the Central Bank of Ireland's Fitness and Probity Regime.

Please note that this role is being offered on a 10-month fixed-term contract basis.
