Position Summary
Job Description:
ProAmpac Donegal is looking for Quality Manager to lead our Quality Team within Donegal-Flex & Fiber. This position is responsible for meeting the goals and objectives of the organization by leading the development, setting, and enforcement of procedures, policies, and standards affecting product quality across our Donegal sites.
The Quality Manager will foster a culture of quality at all levels of the organization, ensuring quality is embedded in every process. A key responsibility will be the management of customer complaints, driving accurate root cause analysis, timely responses, and the implementation of corrective actions. The role also carries responsibility and accountability for quality metrics, cost savings goals, and the successful leadership of all customer and external audits. Occasional travel to customer sites will be required to support strong relationships and ensure alignment on quality expectations.
Main Duties & Tasks
* Maintain a safe working environment, ensuring that all Health & Safety requirements and procedures are adhered to, including reporting and resolution of all incidents or accidents.
* Take ownership of customer complaint and reject processes, ensuring timely closure and effective corrective and preventive actions.
* Ensure that the Integrated Management System is consistently followed and continuously improved.
* Work closely with Manufacturing Management to ensure all manufacturing and Quality Assurance procedures are adhered to through documented process monitoring and process control methods.
* Successfully lead all customer audits and external audit compliance activities.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Team across sites, ensuring all quality personnel are trained and equipped to perform their functions.
* Foster a culture of quality across the organization, engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
* Monitor and report progress against defined quality metrics, goals, and cost-saving initiatives.
* Participate in the establishment and ongoing review of quality specifications.
* Represent ProAmpac in interactions with both new and existing customers, including site visits as required.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
Candidate Criteria
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* A degree in Quality, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
* Proven leadership experience in a senior quality management role within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, BRC, GMP or similar standards).
* Demonstrated experience in managing and resolving customer complaints, with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
* A successful track record in leading external and customer audits.
* Ability to foster and promote a strong quality culture across all organizational levels.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and customers.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
* Results-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.
