Role PurposeCloud Specialist will be part of the Cloud team that is in charge of the operations of cloud environment used to virtualize network functions in Vodafone network.Primary ResponsibilitiesManaging and supporting a mixed environment of VMware ESX, Tanzu, and OpenShift Cloud Platforms.Installing, configuring, and implementing the Cloud infrastructure.Performing troubleshooting, incident management and error handling for cloud platforms.Executing change management, fault management, and service request processes.Evaluating new versions, firmware, and patches; implementing major upgrades and security patches regularly.Discussing platform evolution with vendors and design teams.Implementing security policies and fixing vulnerabilities on platforms according to best practices and company procedures.Periodic monitoring of platforms, performance tuning, capacity planning, and trend analysis.Providing assistance in new projects during all stages, including assessment, planning, designing, initiation, and implementation.Maintaining operational readiness, ensuring complete recovery in the event of a disaster; attending DR tests regularly and updating policies and procedures as required.Key AccountabilitiesIncident, change, and problem management for Cloud platforms.Lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure.Technology vendor management.Relationship management with design teams and internal customers.Engaging and leading the team to effectively reach operational targets.Building relationships with stakeholders.Managing performance of team, setting targets, evaluating results.Fostering collaboration in the team and among teams in larger processes.RequirementsUniversity degree in telecommunications engineering, information technology, or equivalent STEM degree with ICT experience.Minimum 5 years system/cloud administration experience with VMware ESX and OpenShift Cloud Platform.Good knowledge of Cloud (CAAS/PAAS/IAAS) technologies.Excellent working experience on VMware and Redhat OCP Linux.Good knowledge of Storage, SAN, and Network.Good knowledge of vROPS, PowerCLI, and DevOps tools.5+ years experience in a large enterprise environment with problem solving, troubleshooting, and analysis processes.Good knowledge of automation solutions (Ansible, Git, Python).Strong team player and problem solver.Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies.Ability to perform in stressful and emergency conditions.BenefitsCompetitive SalaryFlexible working (times and location) is part of our culture where your hours can facilitate your personal work-life balance.Generous employer pension contribution.Free phone bill – When you join the team, your phone bill is on us!
