Your role and responsibilities
As an Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the team’s test strategy, developing scalable automated testing frameworks, managing software build pipelines, and mentoring a team of skilled engineers. You'll manage careers, streamline hiring, collaborate with product, and drive innovation. We seek proactive professionals passionate about team growth, software architecture, coding, and process enhancements. Mastery of frameworks, deployment tech, and cloud APIs is essential as well as adaptability to innovative technologies. Your primary responsibilities include:
1. Solution Development: Lead the development of innovative solutions to enhance our product and development experience, effectively contributing to making our software better.
2. Team Growth and Management: Manage the career growth of team members, scale hiring and development processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
3. Strategic Partnership: Partner with product teams to brainstorm ideas and collaborate on delivering an exceptional product, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
4. Technical Direction: Provide technical guidance by actively participating in architectural discussions, developing code, and advocating for new process improvements to drive innovation and efficiency.

Required technical and professional expertise
* Demonstrated experience as a Lead QA Engineer, preferably in a test automation or SDET role; 2+ years of experience managing or mentoring teams in an engineering environment.
* Strong experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., pytest, Selenium, Cypress, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.).
* Knowledge of performance testing tools such as k6 and experience in performance testing.
* Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Golang).
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Knowledge of performance testing and security testing tools.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
* Familiarity with Kubernetes deployment and managing scalable services.
* Previous experience managing geographically distributed teams.
