Effective Technical Leaders Required for Fulfillment Centre Operations
About the Role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a team responsible for maintaining and improving our technical infrastructure at one of our operational sites. As a senior technician, you will play a key part in ensuring our equipment runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate best practice in using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure everyone follows correct processes
* Maintain accurate records of equipment performance through visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks
* Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers
* Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations
* Support improvement initiatives to enhance systems and standardise processes across the network
A Day in the Life
You will lead a team to ensure everyone has the necessary equipment and that it is running properly. This involves monitoring processes to guarantee compliance with regulations and policies, and undertaking preventative maintenance to increase equipment uptime.
Based on your observations, you will suggest improvements to make our systems more efficient and productive, then implement those changes across the EU-wide function. You will also use tools like Scada to monitor process performance and collaborate closely with your line manager to assist with administrative tasks.
This role involves working shift patterns, including some weekends and nights. As you develop your experience within this dynamic field, you will be well-placed to progress into more senior roles.

The RME team maintains our equipment at its optimal level. We are a technically skilled team made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centres.
Some members of our team are leaders who oversee the team's efforts as they work on cutting-edge technologies - some of which only exist at Amazon. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing general maintenance and repairing critical distribution equipment, our team handles most aspects of Amazon's technical side.
This includes ensuring buildings meet legal requirements, keeping our sites operating at maximum efficiency, and providing opportunities for progression both within the RME team and more widely across Amazon.
